Paula Haynes of Alpharetta, Georgia, has been intrigued by vintage items since college. "I always imagine the history behind them," she says. "I love going to garage sales, thrift and consignment stores." One of Paula's biggest passions is paper ephemera - especially old magazines. Her most impressive find last summer was more than 20 vintage Vogue and Bazaar mags from the 1960s. What a thrill!
Paula opened her Lucy and Ethel Etsy store in late 2010, after losing her full time job and thirsting for new purpose. According to Paula, Etsy encourages a "village culture," which means that store owners help each other succeed. "That is something I endorse and believe in," she states. Sashay Magazine would like to second that.
