Sashay Magazine, LLC was honored to attend and to help celebrate the upcoming launch of creator and host Jennie Turner Garlington's new "Eco Sense for Living" series at the private party at EcoManor, the home of her sister, Atlanta eco-activist Laura Turner Seydel.
As party guests networked and enjoyed fine food and wine, it was an exciting time as both Jennie and Laura have looked forward to this moment for a long time. Their love for the environment was inherited from their dad, Ted Turner, who has been conscious of the environment his whole life. The sneak peek of the programming during the event was a tremendous success as Jennie was able to gain insight from viewers about the upcoming episodes which will air on Georgia Public Broadcasting stations every week during April 2011, known as "Earth Month.
"We are all about saving money, and hand-in-hand saving money saves the planet." Jennie Turner Garlington said. "We began shooting PSA's, just environmental tips on how to have a more efficient household—everyday environmental tips, very user-friendly. And then we took them to Kentucky Educational television and when director of television said we should take this to a half-hour show; we were thrilled." Sashay Magazine interviewed Jennie in a 4-part series to talk about each episode; if you'd like to view these videos, visit here.
